01Project overview

Structural definition that survives both analysis and the factory floor.

My work sat at the interface between aircraft geometry, structural performance, engineering definition and manufacturing. The goal was not simply a finished CAD model, but design information that could support verification, release and production.

Portfolio boundaryDetailed geometry, loads, material allowables, analysis results and internal programme decisions remain confidential. The schematic above is representative and does not reproduce programme data.
02My Contribution

Component design backed by analysis and clear engineering definition.

01

Aircraft Structural CAD

Designed components for vertical-stabiliser and wing structures in CATIA V5 within established aircraft interfaces.

02

Engineering Drawings & GD&T

Produced detailed definition that communicated geometry, tolerances and manufacturing intent for design release.

03

Structural Verification

Used ANSYS Mechanical to assess structural behaviour and support design iteration.

04

Manufacturing Support

Supported prototyping, assembly and production activities involving composites, additive manufacturing and laser cutting.

03Engineering workflow

Closing the loop between definition, verification and production.

Understand interfaces

Work from installation space, neighbouring geometry and programme requirements.

Develop geometry

Build controlled CATIA models with manufacturability and assembly in mind.

Verify response

Use structural analysis to identify critical behaviour and inform revisions.

Release & support

Create drawings, apply GD&T and resolve issues with manufacturing stakeholders.

04Team & contributors

Work delivered inside a larger aircraft-development organisation.

Structural design

Aqib Habib

Component CAD, GD&T drawings, structural-analysis support and manufacturing coordination.

Engineering organisation

Turkish Aerospace Industries

Programme leadership, aircraft systems, stress, materials, configuration and design-release functions.

Production interface

Manufacturing & Assembly Teams

Process feedback, prototyping, composite manufacture, additive work and assembly execution.

05Results

Engineering outputs that connected analysis to manufacture.

The work supported structural development and design verification with controlled CAD, detailed GD&T documentation and hands-on production feedback. It strengthened my ability to make component-level decisions inside a tightly integrated aircraft programme.
